Please note that this is a drop off service at our training centre. Owners are not permitted to stay for the duration of the day.

WHAT IS DAY-TRAINS?

Day-Trains are a service offered by AW&B that allow your dog to spend a full day working with our senior training team! Day-Trains are perfect for people who would like to have a social and/or training assessment for their dog to be pointed in the right direction for a training plan or program before totally committing. Day-Trains allow our trainers to get to spend the day with your dog and get to know them which often makes the process of planning your training program a lot easier and more in depth. We will provide a full behavioural assessment.

Day-Trains are also perfect for current clients to touch base and work through some things they may be stuck on, or for extra stimulation for their dog!

We recommend our Day-Trains to past clients too to ensure they are staying on-top of their dogs training.

Day-Trains are REACTIVE DOG SAFE and perfect for anxious dogs to build confidence out of the house and away from their owners.

ABOUT OUR TEAM:

Our team are highly skilled and experienced handling aggressive, nervous/anxious and reactive dogs. We are canine behaviorists who work with behavioural dogs every day and are highly confident that your dog will be in good hands. Following our instructions and guidance will ensure handovers are seamless and safe. We always have your dog’s best interest in mind for the experience to be as positive as possible.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

Our Day-Train is totally customised to each dog pending their needs and your goals.

Day-Trains can include, but is not limited to:

  • Training assessment to get a gage of where your dog is at, their triggers, what they already are doing well which we can apply and build on.

  • Social assessments for dogs who have never been socialised or had little socialisation and for owners who are unsure if their dogs are social.

  • Daycare assessments for our AW&B Structured Daycare.

  • A customised training plan overview for your dog provided via email at the end of the day, entailing information about their day and what was conducted.

  • Verbal end of day handover.

  • Photo and video footage throughout the day.

  • Introduction to the training process for your dog - either starting fresh or picking up from what they have already learnt.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

At day-trains, dogs will be crated when not working and taking a break. While it is not a requirement for dogs to be crate trained, we do have a 100% transparency policy for owners to be aware of this.

Dogs who are struggling during the day and highly anxious and stressed may be required to be picked up early - this may mean we will prioritise their training to get it done in time for an early pick up if the dog is responsive. If your dog requires early pick up and we assess they are too overwhelmed to train, no refunds apply.

LOCATION: 1/9 Peachtree Rd, Penrith - AW&B Training Facility

TIMES: Morning drop off 8am - 9am. Pick up 3pm - 4:30pm. If you require earlier drop off or later pick up, please contact our team. Fees may apply. Earlier pick ups available for daycare assessments - 12pm.

Day-Trains run 1-2 times per month on a Thursday.

COST: $150/dog. If you require ONLY a daycare assessment with no email feedback or training assessment - $65

WHAT DOES MY DOG NEED TO JOIN?

All dogs that enter our facility require to be vaccinated. Dogs must be able to be handled by our training team, this means that human aggressive dogs will need a private consultation first.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Puppies must be over 6 months old to enrol, unless only needing a daycare assessment.
